Author and Founder of Change Beyond Chapters LLC
Brianna Ellis is an author of uplifting poetry and children's books, a literacy advocate, and founder of Change Beyond Chapters LLC. Inspired by her parents' Jamaican roots and rich hip-hop culture of her native New York, Brianna fell in love with music and poetry as a young girl. Her skillful writing led to a career in journalism, after graduating from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies.
After releasing her debut poetry book Eternally You in 2024, Brianna published multiple children’s books entitled: Sweet Sweet Brown Baby, Little Zion’s Big Dreams, I Deserve Daddy’s Love, Imani’s Inner Light and Zion’s Trip to Jamaica. Brianna has also created coloring books and journals to spark creativity, confidence, and self-love in all children.
Beyond her books, Brianna is passionate about empowering young readers through engaging read-aloud experiences, author visits, free creative writing workshops and literary outreach. As a former educator and storyteller, she partners with schools, libraries, community organizations and families to turn pages into purpose. Brianna believes that each child excels when they feel seen and supported, and she deeply understands the importance of representation. Through Change Beyond Chapters, Brianna remains committed to creating meaningful literacy experiences that inspire confidence, celebrate diversity, and encourage young readers to reach their full potential.
